Friday, January 24th--Pitcairn Island--Islanders in a long boat coming out to our ship. At the right of the photo is , Bounty Bay, the long boathouse at the shoreline inside the bay, and the well named "Hill of Difficulty."

  1. Pitcairn. Wow. I read The Bounty Trilogy as a boy and have dreamed about it ever since. I remember when National Geographic explorers found the wreckage of the Bounty. I was aboard the replica ship before it sank in a storm. I see you are now at sea on your way to Sydney. It looks like you stopped at New Caledonia. I sailed by it when I was navigator on the Reeves. Eager to hear your reports.
