Saturday, February 1st--Pago Pago, American Samoa--Pilot boat leading the ms Amsterdam out of Pago Pago Harbor. The domed roofs on the right is the now closed with roof falling in "Rainmaker Hotel."
Wow u guys, what a trip. Really enjoyed your pics and comments so far. Of course not near as great as Mountlake Terrace HS at 6:30 in the winter morn, but u can't have everything. Continue having a great trip!
I love this picture. It looks much as I remember it. We moored in front of the Rainmaker Hotel in the near foreground. From there we rode the tram across the harbor. My sailing friends tell me both are closed now. The tank farm in the distance is new since I was there. I last saw Amsterdam in Hong Kong. I remember you were going to take an overland trip across China. You may be doing that now.
